Lindsay, BrooklynThis particular steez brought to you by its focal point: a patchwork vest which used to be my mother’s. Distinct memories suggest she paired it with a sheer leopard button down, which no closet is really REAL without. This is me trying it, though I should add that she was VERY businessy in the 90’s, so there’d have been a silk suit involved if she were wearing it. I elected to go with jeans and gold socks, because that’s the level of businessy where I reside.Things you might not be able to determine from this screengrab: my necklace is a rhinestone airplane because I like to travel, but don’t. My pink wristband is from seeing THE PIXIES in Santa Fe last week (okay, I travel a little). I NEVER want to take it off, but I will, of course, because I am moderately professional. My desktop is rocks, because rocks are super cool and the opposite of computers. The cozy sweater on the chair is new from the Gap, a store which is pretty underrated by everyone accept me. The look on my face in the full length shot is a mix of tension and worry because, despite my office being only 6 feet long, it is really hard to hit the camera button and get to the other side in time. The look on my face in the top photo is to compensate for the photo below, its theme is 4th Grade School Picture. Here’s hoping you can’t get fired for a 5-way power clash.
